Envisioning my future…
In the past I have always done what people thought was right for me. I took internships, applied to certain schools, and played sports because they wanted success for me. Don’t get me wrong I really enjoyed those experiences and wouldn’t be the woman I am today without them. But at the same time, I am very different than they are and I know what I want. I don’t want to live a monotonous life at a desk every day, at least not yet. I am 22 years old and there’s only one thing I want more than anything. It may not be the path certain people go down or it may not be a career choice that is chosen by the average person, but I am young and passionate about my dreams. And to be honest I have only been passionate about one other thing in my life. When I am passionate I get excited, I can’t sleep, I think constantly about what if….
I want those what ifs to be… I am…
I haven’t been the most disciple in the past. All talk and no action. But I had a dream last night and I saw myself…exactly where I wanted to be.
It’s time for me to wake up…. and go after it.

How to Stay HAWT During the Cold Weather
Hey Y’all! I tried a new approach to my blog post this week. In the video below you can find 3 tips on how to stay HAWT during the cold weather!
Enjoy!
If Procrastinating Was A Job…
I’d be a billionaire right now! and would probably be writing this blog post on an exotic island, beach side, drink in hand, with no worries in the world. I’d have a villa in Italy, apartments in Barcelona and houses in Costa Rica. I’d be a world traveler! I would absolutely love my job. I don’t know exactly what my job would entail but after a couple years of procrastinating I would definitely figure it out.
So what is procrastinating? According to dictionary.com it means to defer action; delay, to put off to another day or time.
For me it is the words; LATER or TOMORROW. I’ll do my homework later. I’ll clean my room tomorrow. I’ll work out later. I’ll pay my parking ticket tomorrow. Everything gets pushed back until it all boils down to 1 or 2 days to accomplish all of those things! But wait, can’t procrastinating technically be your own work style? Like couldn’t one argue that the same amount of work could be produced by a given date even though the start date may vary? I would absolutely argue the statement as true. But sometimes procrastinating is exhausting and quite frankly very annoying. When I finally finish a task, I always think to myself “if I had just started earlier” or “wow that didn’t take long.”
For all you procrastinators out there, I applaud you because it’s hard work. We have to know when to procrastinate, what to procrastinate on, how long to procrastinate. There’s a science to it. But, since I don’t see procrastinating being offered as a job any time in the near future, below are a few tips I found (while I was supposed to be studying) on the internet on how to avoid the bad habit:
- 1. Break your work into little steps: dividing up the work a little day by day really helps alleviate the stress in the end.
- Change you’re work environment: this is the hardest challenge for me! I LOVE doing my work in my bed, but recently I’ve branched out to the couch and even the dining room table which seems to help.
- Get a buddy: I find that hanging out with friends who have similar goals makes it is easier to stay motivated.
- Tell people about your goals: it’s harder to put something off if your goals are shared with others.
- Get a grip and just do it: in the words of Nike “just do it”.
Welp, I’m off to study! ❤
ONCE YOU GO M.A.C, YOU’LL NEVER GO BACK
So aside from working out, eating healthy, and grinding with my studies, I also love fashion! I love everything about it; shopping, putting outfits together, looking at my wardrobe and of course looking like a BAD BISH. The only thing I hate about it is, it can be so expensive! * note to self: become a billionaire, so I can buy everything I want* NOTED.
Anyways, according to Urban Dictionary fashion is defined as: a sense of style that changes from decade to decade, century to century. BUT, I define fashion as expressing your personality and style through your wardrobe. THIS is part of what makes us unique as human beings. In this section of my blog you will find what’s HAWT and what’s NOT according to yours truly. The first topic on hand is LIPSTICK because I wear it almost every day!
LIPSTICK IS HAWT!
It was my sophomore year in college when I really truly understood how M.A.C lipstick could change my life (SERIOUSLY M.A.C IS EVERYTHING!) I was going out one night and my roommate told me I should wear a red lip with my outfit and after that night, I, nor my lips were ever the same. I discovered that my lips, with the right color had the ability to complete an outfit. I wore a red lip almost every time I went out for the rest of the semester because that’s how much of an impact it had on my life.
I came to the realization that lipstick is so much more than just a colored cosmetic applied to the lips from a small stick. They are ACCESSORIES, OUTFIT CHANGERS, and in my personal opinion LIFE CHANGERS. Now a lot of my non-wearing lipstick friends have come to me and said one of the following:
1.Lipstick won’t look good on me
2.I don’t even know what color I would wear
3.LIPSTICK WON’T LOOK GOOD ON ME
My answer to them, has always been (and this applies to all my ladies) lipstick looks great on every one! You just have to find what colors suit you the best. EMBRACE THY LIPS: I know it’s completely different going from a bare lip to a LUCIOUS lip, but trust me gals, ONCE YOU GO M.A.C YOU’LL NEVER GO BACK.
So I encourage all of my ladies to be bold and venture out to the nearest M.A.C counter this weekend and get you a BAD BECTH LIP COLOR! I promise you won’t be the same after, because remember, ONCE YOU GO M.A.C YOU’LL NEVER GO BACK!
