If Procrastinating Was A Job…
I’d be a billionaire right now! and would probably be writing this blog post on an exotic island, beach side, drink in hand, with no worries in the world. I’d have a villa in Italy, apartments in Barcelona and houses in Costa Rica. I’d be a world traveler! I would absolutely love my job. I don’t know exactly what my job would entail but after a couple years of procrastinating I would definitely figure it out.
So what is procrastinating? According to dictionary.com it means to defer action; delay, to put off to another day or time.
For me it is the words; LATER or TOMORROW. I’ll do my homework later. I’ll clean my room tomorrow. I’ll work out later. I’ll pay my parking ticket tomorrow. Everything gets pushed back until it all boils down to 1 or 2 days to accomplish all of those things! But wait, can’t procrastinating technically be your own work style? Like couldn’t one argue that the same amount of work could be produced by a given date even though the start date may vary? I would absolutely argue the statement as true. But sometimes procrastinating is exhausting and quite frankly very annoying. When I finally finish a task, I always think to myself “if I had just started earlier” or “wow that didn’t take long.”
For all you procrastinators out there, I applaud you because it’s hard work. We have to know when to procrastinate, what to procrastinate on, how long to procrastinate. There’s a science to it. But, since I don’t see procrastinating being offered as a job any time in the near future, below are a few tips I found (while I was supposed to be studying) on the internet on how to avoid the bad habit:
- 1. Break your work into little steps: dividing up the work a little day by day really helps alleviate the stress in the end.
- Change you’re work environment: this is the hardest challenge for me! I LOVE doing my work in my bed, but recently I’ve branched out to the couch and even the dining room table which seems to help.
- Get a buddy: I find that hanging out with friends who have similar goals makes it is easier to stay motivated.
- Tell people about your goals: it’s harder to put something off if your goals are shared with others.
- Get a grip and just do it: in the words of Nike “just do it”.
Welp, I’m off to study! ❤
WRITE A LIST
If you’re like me, you hate going to the grocery store, but once you’re there you’re there for a while. Usually when I go into the store I don’t write a grocery list because I know the basic things I need. Lately, I found that writing a grocery list before I head to the store is SUPER helpful not only for my diet but for my pockets. Without a specific list( ex: bananas and strawberries NOT just: fruit) , I tend to pick up anything and everything and throw it into the basket. The food ends up going to waste and my money is wasted. Writing a grocery list and sticking to it definitely helps my budget and my diet!!

YOU CAN ChANGE
Good Morning Hawties!!
I just wanted to remind everyone including myself that if we want something for ourselves we must work towards it everyday with no excuses! Any goal is attainable. We have the ability to be anything we want to be, but if we don’t show commitment, determination, effort and in my opinion faith then there isn’t anything anyone else can do for us. It starts within!! Below is one of my favorite quotes of all time! Only we can change ourselves, no one is else is to blame if we are lazy and don’t reach our goals. We are responsible! So let’s change our lives, reach our goals and be the amazing people we know we can be!

Who Wants a Shot?
If you’re like me, vegetables aren’t something you get excited about, let alone eat on the regular. If I’m not dieting, I’m usually satisfied with a main dish that might include chicken, rice and bread. But, since I’m on day 2 of my no-carb diet, vegetables are quickly coming back into my life and this time I can’t avoid them.
Before I started eating clean, my vegetable intake was very sporadic. I would eat a Caesar salad here, some green beans there and maybe some broccoli in Panera’s broccoli and cheddar soup (which I just had today-so delicious). Sometimes I would go days without eating vegetables and after a while I would start to feel guilty. As soon as I felt this way, guess where I went??? SMOOTHIE KING. Yes! I went to my love for help and as always he had just the right thing for me! A WHEAT GRASS SHOT.
One Wheat Grass Shot can give you up to 9 servings of vegetables!! They’re so good for you. I will admit, they’re not the best tasting; like you literally need a GOOD chaser, it’s worse than the cheapest tequila and I rather eat baby food, BUT they are EXTRMELY healthy for you! So if your veggie intake is lacking, go get your week’s servings of vegetables by taking a WHEAT GRASS SHOT!
